著名的山頭 (Famous Peaks)
此區域涵蓋西阿爾卑斯山脈的核心，橫跨法國東部、瑞士瓦萊州 (Valais) 與義大利西北部的奧斯塔谷地 (Aosta)，並向南延伸至濱海阿爾卑斯山，聚集了多座阿爾卑斯山最具代表性的 4,000 公尺巨峰：
- 白朗峰 (Mont Blanc, 4,810m)：阿爾卑斯山脈最高峰，位於法義邊界，遼闊的冰川景觀名揚國際。
- 馬特洪峰 (Matterhorn / Monte Cervino, 4,478m)：位於瑞義邊界，金字塔型的孤傲山體是阿爾卑斯山的精神象徵。
